Relax simmers, mods for The Sims 3 ARE possible I’ve been reading over the official Sims 2 BBS this past week encountering many threads about custom content for The Sims 3.* I’m speaking about TRUE custom content - new meshes, patterns, objects, skins, modifications, etc. and not changing the color of various items inside the game.* Simmers were in a state of confusion as supposedly EA digitally signed the package files for the game, thus making any modifications could lead to potentially legal issues.* But then again that’s not going to stop the ones who would like to get the most from their game! The bad thing about this…is that they are using a pirated copy to test these mods which really is an old version.* So I wouldn’t bother with any just yet until the game hits shelves - they’ll need the time to make changes to the mods once the retail game is released.* None the less, it’s still an interesting read.* Check out the links to the activity in the community: MTS2 - We have modding for TS3 MATY - No Censor hack for TS3 MATY - Testing a new ‘Simless’ hood Sims 3 Tools forum Special shoutout to Hiki of Sims 3 Nieuws for mentioning the links!
