Sim Weather? Hey My friend told me that it can rain in the Sims 2 game..kay, well right now im not believing it bc i've had my game for a REALLY long time, and it hasn't once, whats the deal? can it really storm? - Michelle <33333333
NoIt can not rain it's only sun ALL the time... they are talking about a new expansion with weather and stuff included tho...
Some of the weather is actually already in the game ... I haven't tried it myself but someone over at the modthesims2.com found and unlocked it so that you could have buyable weather. It's a bit dangerous though (regarding game stability dangerous!) so use it at your peril ... I guess that's why Maxis left it out.
I have used that mod a few times. I found it to be pretty cool when you are messing around making movies. But I wouldn't try it in a family I was actually playing. The only warning I have is if you have a house that is not on a foundation, it looks like it is raining on your first floor.
LOL. They said that that was one of the problems (and one of the main reasons why it wasn't included in the game). Good to know that we can confirm that it can indeed rain inside houses where it doesn't belong.
You can get it here. on the Mods Page. I tried to find it on mod the sims but couldn't get on the site today. This is what it has: mailbox trashcan Rainstorm Heavy Rainstorm Thunderstorm Lightning Bolt Windmill roaches homework bills fire books pizzabox If I remeber correctly the rain storms last about 24 sim hours.
