    sims online

do you think the sims should be able to go online.

i mean like that each person owns one house in the neighborhood and you could go to a shop and meet each other

They've already tried Sims Online once. Doesn't seem to have been that successful.

Yup, I knew this person who had TS1 Online and it wasn't so great because hardly anyone was ever online so there wasn't much point of her playing it. (This was when TS1 had been around for a while, BTW.)

I was a beta tester for The Sims Online and I loved it! However, when it went 'live' to all, after a few months it was clear that people went to the same lots all the time - faster skill building etc. if more people joined in at the same time, and other reasons. The rating table for the top 20 lots looked the same most of the time, and only 18 could enter at one time if I remember correctly. That caused problems because the top rated lots filled up quickly and then you had to search around for lots that were online with at least 6 people to have any sort of playability.

I kept my monthly subscription even though it cost more for me to play than my American friends - $9.99 versus 7.99 - we got landed with VAT and there was a big huff and puff about that. I kept the subscription for a whole year without playing until I decided I would never play it again - I just didn't wanna give up my Founder account that quickly until I was sure lol.

Some console games had online connectivity. I reviewed The Sims Bustin' Out for PS2 back in the day, and I visited an online guy's lot as my brother's Sim (since you couldn't have multiple saved games on the same memory card, what bull!).

The fellow was freaked out to find that there was a girl's voice on the other end directing a male Sim. Then my headset broke. o_0

There wasn't really much to that though, just hanging out at another Sim's house, eating their food and watching their TV. I can do that on my own time.
