So, what do you think of Homecrafter? I downloaded it but haven't figured out how to use it yet. Anyone else? What do you think of it? Do you plan on using it, and if so, how? (If someone makes some pretty half-tiled walls, would they let me know how they did it. LOL)
Why cant you download it Zooty? It's only around 8MB, which took about half an hour on my dial-up connection, not too long considering the benifits of having it! And to answer you Kristalrose, homecrafter works exactly the same as bodyshop does. you open the program, I think it was "clone" the wall or floor that you want to do, then go to the paint programe of your choice and save once you have completed the modifications. One of the best things that I like about homecrafter is that you can edit your creation without ending up with a million and one versions of the same thing like you do in bodyshop!
I couldn't download it from my dialup either. The limit my connection seems to stay ok is only about 2-3mb worth. (So I had to have it downloaded at a friend's house and brought home on CD.) I have it installed but I've been too busy downloading to actually use it myself.
I find it easier to use than bodyshop even though you are doing basically the same thing. I have managed to do some really amateur tiles and walls but it was so great to have done it myself that I built a house especially so I could use them!! I think my knowledge of photoshop is letting me down though as I can't for the life of me work out how to put a wash on a wall or a floor
Because I play the Sims on a different computer to the one which has a (Broadband ) Internet connection, and I don't have any CD burning software. Though that may have changed, I need to fiddle about with this new piece of software that came with an mp3 player my dad got for Christmas.
I've found it to actually be useful... I've actually made a few floors and wall coverings unlike with the first one. Overall I like it
Homecrafter... thumbs up If you can use Bodyshop, at all, then Homecrafter is easy. As long as you remember to clone first you're set.
