Spore needs to be successful After many years of waiting, Spore will be released this week…But are you doing your part in purchasing the game?* While I do often rant against EA as a company and their DRM measures, I still would like to support the little guys (Maxis).* At any minute, if EA feels like it they can snap their fingers and shut the doors down on the studio.* I doubt it will happen, but the possibility is always there. So let me take a minute to tell you that EA hopes…needs Spore to do well.* They have been loosing money for six quarters due to some bad decisions and a few of their games running out of steam (not to EA, that’s why you don’t milk your franchises).* Let’s hope Spore will bring them out of it and carry the franchise forward.
