The Sims 3 breaks 800,000 copies for US in June A week after The Sims 3 release, it was stated that the game sold more than 1.4 million copies worldwide – making it the fastest selling Sims game of all time.* Now that the NPD data for June was published, Gamasutra received word that the copies sold in the US during the month was estimated at 820,000.* Of course, I believe this is only for retail copies and not digital downloads, but that’s pretty impressive just coming from the US!** Here’s the NPD PC data for the month of June listing the top 20 games: 1.
