The Sims 3 Create-A-Sim standalone version hitting retail Feb. 2010?

If this is to be true – and you should remember ‘Spore Creature Creator’ – then on February 5th, 2010 retail stores will be getting a stand-alone version of CAS.* My only problem?* They are a year late.* Yeah….maybe a few people will pick it up, but if they had this ready to go to launch during the announcement of the delay last year, it would of sold like hotcakes.

No details on the price, but I’m sure it’ll be similar to the $10 price tag that Spore Creature Creator had going on.

Sims Slovenija brings to us the following report via twitter:

[IMG]Create-a-Sim is the full CAS exerience taken out of TS3 game. It allows players to create any Sim they want, share it thru Exchange and upload into their TS3 game once they own it.

This is an extremly vast experience that should not be compared to our TS2 CAS flash demo version we distributed in the past. This is the true part of the software without any limits to the experience.

It is a PC/Mac software that will be shipping in a regular DVD case. The packaging design is locked now.

It is available in all languages that TS3 was localised to.

It provides a low, entry-priced TS3 product that is addictive and easy to play. It demonstrates the creative experience of TS3 and gives insight into how robust TS3 experience is.

We believe it will encourage trial and will drive conversion into the full experience.
