The Sunday Times tries out Spore There is an excellent article coming out of The Sunday Times pertaining to Spore. Times editor Bryan Appleyard recieved a conference call as well as had a chance to try out a demonstration of Spore and gives his take of the upcoming game: To understand Spore, you need to understand The Sims; and to understand either, you need to know about Wright, about human and cosmic history and the evolution of what Wright calls the metabrain, the aggregated intelligence of millions of online human brains. These may only be computer games but, if Wright is right, they are precursors of the future human condition.
