They come back from vacation only to have the shuttle come back to pick them up again

This has happened twice now. The first time I stepped out of the room when they came back from vacation. When I got back they were back on vacation. This time I brought a family home from vacation, set them all up to do things then the next thing I know the shuttle has come back to pick them up again! The mom and daughter got in the shuttle before I could stop them and went on vacation alone.

Once they are on the vacation lot they call for the shuttle to take them home and it never arrives. The only way to get them back home is to quit without saving. When you click on their home lot they are back from vacation.

What is going on!?! First multiple nannies, now this!

Ruthie, don't panic. The shuttle seems a little unreliable, but I found that it always turns up to collect your sims at the end of the holiday. The trouble starts when you call for the thing instead letting the game rule the roost. If you call fot eh shuttle before the vacation is over the game thinks they still need to be away, so as soon as they get home another shuttle arrives.

Basically it is a bit on the wonk like most Sims products. We love it that way ... well, we must do, or we wouldn't keep buying, would we? ;)

It was the end of their vacation so they came back on time. If this is a common thing I guess I'll have to watch for it and try to get it out of their queue before they leave again. Hopefully a patch is in the works for it.

What do you know about multiple nannies? Getting those too.

If I were you I'd get Pescado's ffsdebugger.zip and see if it has any options to clear up the affected lots/families.

Clearing onworld and offworld loiterers would be a good start.

I have had the multiple nanny scenario, too. BV tends to generate one before the shuttle arrives whether one is needed or not. Usually the old bat buggers off without being told.

Another useful Pescado hack is the stuckobjremover.zip which deletes invisible objects which can't be seen ... got a square where nothing can be placed?
