Update on what’s happening with Sims 3 Maniacos

Earlier today, word was passed to me that one of my affiliates – Sims 3 Maniacos – was showing up as a malicious attack.** I decided to remove them until matters can be solved, and the owner, Marcos, contacted me with the full report:

    Hello partners!

I would like to let you know about the serious problem that we’ve been through.

Since a long time the Sims 3 Maníacos has been under hacker attacks, having some of it pages infected. We were knowing the problem a while ago, but we didn’t know it seriousness. The malware has been implanted on our news system and on main pages of the site, in this pages the problem has been resolved, but we didn’t expect that they would be on pages that are never visited, what made Google block our site, because the malware was installed more than 90 days. At las, the problem has been solved and none of the pages present any kind and signal of infection, in the moment we are only waiting for Google, to release the site online, to resolve this problem.

    Sorry for everthing.

So that explains it.* It may be awhile before Google will clear it’s name, but the site will be clean once they approve.* I’ll add it back to my list of affiliates as soon as they do!
