    Uploadies!

I improved some outfits that come with the game. At least I think I did. I'm not into the bellybutton baring look for guys. It just doesn't say "manly" to me. So I stretched the T-shirt a bit. Here are pictures.

But here's the rub: I can't remember how to package them for upload!!!! If you like these, and want these, then please help me remember how to do this.

I freely admit I am an idiot, and you should feel free to point and laugh.

P.S. I also freely admit these aren't that good. If someone wants to take my idea and improve it, feel free! I'll probably download yours!

They look pretty good to me witch lady, and I can always do with more clobber for my own guys.

"Packaging" a BodyShop creation is a pain in my humble opinion. Packaging means making a .Sims2Pack file out of the .package file that Body Shop plonked into your downloads folder.

.Sims2Pack files are self installing but they are are pain in the neck to install if you have downloaded lots of them and don't have something like Qxpress (Sims 2 Pack Clean Installer is no use IMO because it needs even more mouse clicks per file install than the official Body Shop Package Installer does!)

So find your file in downloads and copy it somewhere. Give it a new name -- preferably just add somethinglike SBW_made_ to the front of the name (don't let any spaces get in there!) ... most people like to be able to find packages easily to take them out when they no longer want them so putting your intials at the front is a good thing.

Then right click the package file and choose "add to archive" ... best to choose a descriptive name for that eg sbw's ripped jeans (spaces don't matter) and Windows will make a zip file ... upload it and Bob's your mom's brother. If you want to be ultra professional (or prissy :p) you can add a readme file (made with Notepad) warning of dire consequences to people who pass off your handiwork as their own ... you add the readme to the archive by just highlighting both the read me and the package together and then right-clicking >> add to archive.

You can also package all the downloads in a single zip archive though that should be an option no the only choice cos some fussy downloaders prefer to download single items ... ;)

Thanks, Mirelly! I knew I could count on you.

By the way, I've used your wallpaper a lot in my houses. I love the nursery wallpaper, especially. So cheerful.

I'll upload the files soon. I'm not 100% happy with them, may play with them a bit first. But if people want them, I'll put 'em out there.

I've actually made a lot of clothing, but some of it is from meshes other people made and I've lost track of who says it's OK to recolor and who says it isn't, so I just won't upload any of those.

To me, "don't recolor" means "don't recolor for upload," not "don't recolor in game." If I download it, I figure that copy is mine to do with as I like as long as I don't share.

I, on the other hand, don't care who "steals" my stuff, especially since it's just Maxis stuff, modified.

My next project is to make tattoos for elders, since Ashley will (finally) be one soon.

Nursery wallpaper? Oh, I missed something!

Great outfits, too, SBW. You're right. I don't like the belly-button look either and don't use those clothes. On me or my sims. :p

I have one more question for you, Mirelly: does stuff I make in bodyshop really appear in downloads? I'd never noticed that before. I thought it went to some mysterious place I couldn't get to afterwards.

Yeah ... assuming you used the import into game function. It makes up a weird name though so you need to be on the ball with a Windows folder open and set to show details so that you can keep track of the latest (newest) files created. Once you've added half a dozen new outfits even a well organised woman like yourself is apt to get mixed up and not be able to remember which were the black jeans with the white T and which was punk jeans with denim vest ... er ... I need a life

Failing that you need a content manager that shows a preview along with the file name so you can retrieve them for zipping up. Generally speaking I do them one at a time, though most of my creating is with homecrafter ... but the principle is the same.

Thanks for your kind comment about the nursery paper, BTW. I have plenty more nice patterns and really should get around to creating some more wallpapers.

 OK, I did get most of the wallpaper downloaded. I think I missed the nursery walls, though. I've even used some of the wallpaper in Errol's house although I don't know if the pictures show it. The kitchen, I'm pretty sure, and their bedroom.

I'm forgetting a lot of things these days. Must be the paint fumes.

Boy are you lucky to have such an excuse ... me? I'm stuck with the embarrassment of advanced age (even Pescado alluded to my senility the other day and that hurt! ::)rolleyes::p)

Want me to hex him? ;)

Here's an upload, to see if it works. My connection can't handle them all at once.

Added two more. Not that happy with the white one, but it looks OK in game.
