If you use WebShell 3 at all, you already know how useful this tool is for managing files on your web site. It completely avoids the need for shell access to move, download, edit and upload files, make backups, extract uploaded archives, and even create password protection on directories. Until today, you were unable to to create backup tar files, but I located the issue which appears to have been caused by the PHP upgrade from not too long ago.

From now on, if you need to create a backup of the files on your site, you have the tools you need at your fingertips. Point your browser to WebShell3, log in with your FTP account information. Then simply check the boxes next to each directory you want to back up, and click the "Archive" button on the toolbar.

If you have any questions about WebShell3 that you can't find in its online help, feel free to ask.

As far as this site is concerned, I spent today deleting illegal media files from member sites, rather than working on the web pages for this site. As a result, it will be delayed several more days. If you find movies, software, mp3s, or entire subdomains missing after today, don't be surprised. Member sites that do not adequately police their own members will lose the priviledge of hosting sites.

While I'm at it, I want to remind you that ALL hosted sites MUST have the advertising code on them regardless of whether they are hosted by SimGames.net directly, or by one of our members. Member sites that do not police their own members for advertising code will also lose the priviledge to host sites.

Finally, if I ever catch a member site attempting to resell SimGames.net hosting services, I will suspend the account immediately.

Too many members are being abusive and it's stopping now.</div>
