    What Are You Listening To?

Right now? I've got They Might Be Giants, Flood, in my car and have listened to it so many times I'm getting a little tired of it. Time to switch the CD! I just keep forgetting to get a new one from the house.

Good quote: "Done someone wrong and I fear that it was me ... "

And my daughter's favorite: "Everybody wants a rock to wind a piece of string around!"

So, what's on your current playlist?

Oh SBW I love music. It's a balm to the abrasions that life puts on one's soul.

I have been exploring the realms of the unsigned and (therefore) unsung heroes of the tonic sol-fa.

    This Geezer (Anahata) is a good'un - links directly to an MP3 @ http://www.download.com

But for the last few weeks I have been giving my ears a good bending with Jon Schmidt (link to his -- free -- downloads page) and Origen (an awesomely melodic bunch of Ukrainians)

    Enjoy :)

Mine is the Soundtrack to RENT. I currently have the movie version in my CD player, however I also have the Broadway version, which is my opinion is better. But they are both so very similar, the same actors who protrayed the characters when it first opened on broadway did the movie...with the exception of two actors. But both of them are amazing either way!

Very different music taste! Pussycat Dolls 'PCD', Madonna 'Confessions On A Dancefloor', and in my Dads' car an RnB CD.

In my Grandads' car however (tape, not CD) I love Johnny Cash - A Boy Named Sue.

'Mah name is SUE, how do you do? Now yuh gonna die!'

I listen to Phantom of the Opera music, music from the movie Motion City, though I haven't actually seen it, I just like the music (like The Future Freaks Me Out and Everything is Alright). Recently I was introduced with the band Metric, which makes awesome music. I guess everyone here has different tastes. I'm actually not partial to the popular punk bands like Greenday, Black Eyed Peas, Panic! At the Disco (okay, that's not that popular, but my friends like it) and such. No peer pressure for me. :D I like Japanese music, too. Music from animes I like, and such.

Most of the time I prefer silence. Quiet. At home all day today I did not play the radio or have the TV on. It was so wonderfully quiet. That's how I prefer it when I'm alone at home.

Sometimes at work I listen to a CD or two in my office. Enya, maybe, so I can't hear the noise in the next office where the guy listens to talk radio and I can hear muffled radio voices through the wall, usually arguing. :( Why on earth do people listen to that sort of stuff? People shouting and being nasty to each other.

    Anyway, I like Enya.

And opera, too, like Tosca (Puccini,) and operas by Verde, like La Traviata. Very dramatic stuff. ;)

LOL dj but you're well in with Pescado who's another fan of Strong Bad and, in fact, claims to hail from the Bowels of Trogdor. Nowt wrong with nerdiness IMO I'm an unashamed fan of Weebls Stuff ... the fabled home of Magical Trevor and The Toast King (& Insanity Prawn Boy :p) I'd provide a link but it's very grown up stuff  (I even support their goodness by using one of their songs as my cellphone's ring tone )

    I'm teasing. :D :)

Homestarrunner is a pretty amusing site with some of their stuff. It's fun to check out some days.

I'm listening to a radio station at the moment so I don't know half the songs... But they did finish playing Hotel California by the Eagles.
