    Yet Another Story Thread II

Since I hit a Writer's Block with the one I did before (not to mention college life was getting a bit dull), I might as well start from scratch...

Feye Barker stepped out of the taxi, unknowing of what was going to happen at her stay at The Curious Observatory. In the side yard was a lone tombstone, and places where three other tombstones used to be. The large plot of land was pure dirt; a backwards oasis in the lush countryside of Nirvanaville. She picked up her bags and followed the long concrete path to the front glass doors.

A police car pulled up and honked twice. A man with light blue eyes and messed up black hair in a suit ran out of the house, breezing by Feye with a muddled "'Scuse me!" He entered the police car and it drove off.

"Oh don't mind him, he's always running late in the mornings. I swear, he needs to get a better job than being a Desk Sergent." A woman with dark skin and blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail was standing in the doorway. She looked to be eight months pregnant, and she wore an ugly looking track suit to boot. "So you must be Feye. Nice to meet you, I'm Marion...Beel has been talking about you nonstop---here, let me help you..." Marion helped Feye in, straining to carry the bags but led her into one of the bedrooms. The walls were a stark white, the floors were all black and white tile. And old woman with the same eerie light blue eyes emerged from one of the bedrooms and proceeded into one of the bathrooms at either end of the hallway.

"Yeah that's Beel's mom, Yuna. She's gone a bit nutty---dating a gardener! What on earth is she thinking..." Marion shook her head again, then led Feye into the large living room and study. The room was cramped with things--- instruments, bookshelves, sofas, desks and computers. Feye nodded her head in approval; this was the place she was wanting to live in forever. And there sat Beel, studying Mechanics from an old text book, and didn't break his stern attention. His light blue eyes were glued to the pages, determined to study hard...

"Better not disturb him...how about some lunch?" said Marion cheerfully. She led Feye once more into the kitchen and proceeded to fail in making macaroni and cheese. "Eh, that's what happens when you drop out of college," she brushed the failure off. "So what did you graduate in?"

"Biology, Summa *** Laude," simply said Feye. She tried very hard to hide the slight twinge of Indian accent that she had. It was hard, being an adopted daughter from a huge family. She almost felt like she barely knew her adopted parents, let alone her birth ones. But Marion did not seem to mind.

"Ah same as Beel then. Pep graduated but seemed didn't seem to put much effort into it...now he's struggling to get promoted in his job, and we have a kid to support soon...I'm not wanting to stand living in here, it's too---"

"Why hello there, dearie!" in came Yuna, who greeted Feye with a hug and kiss and proceeded to eat some burnt pasta. Marion shook her head and left the room to go lie down. "Hello Mrs. Curious, how are you?" inquired Feye politely.

"Eh, things were better, but I'll get used to it...I'm going to have Dominic over for tea, care to join us?"

    "Uh..."

"Mother, let her be, please," Beelzebub came in. Feye gave a sigh of relief and rushed to hug her fiance. He embraced her and blushed, then led her out of the kitchen.

"Um...old age...?" murmured Feye as the went into the front yard.

"Yeah she's getting very advanced. Once my dad died she went off the deep end, hasn't been the same since. She's been dating Dominic as "therapy" and is hell bent on having him move in. She's also determined to have a ton of grandkids to spoil..." he rolled his eyes. "My brother and I aren't really the fatherly types...he's a party man and I'm a man of knowledge..." He led Feye to the alter that was set up when Pep and Marion were married. It stood in the middle of cacti and overgrown bushes. "Yeah we'll be married here someday...maybe today if you wanted to..."

"Today? I just moved in!" "Why wait it out, we've been engaged since sophmore year..." "Oh fine..." She changed into her wedding dress that was fresh from the suitcase, Beel changed into the spare tux in the closet...Pep conveniently came home from work, everyone who was on the lot piled up to watch the ceremony. Short, sweet, to the point. It defined their marriage right then and there.

"Oh joy, let me call Dominic with the good news!" Yuna practically danced with delight. The adult children rolled their eyes. "I miss Dad," mumbled Pep.

Later on in the evening, Yuna finally had Dominic move in, to her sons' disgust. Feye and Marion did not seem to mind, as long as he kept the old woman happy. The old woman and the farmer man sneaked into the bedroom like college kids would...Feye and Beel went to bed, so did Pep and Marion.

Late in the night, Yuna and Dominic had their first woohoo together while Marion went into labor. Pep was blessed with a baby boy with his eerie blue eyes and his wife's dark skin. Everyone rushed in to see, even the couple in their underwear. Thus started Feye's stay at the Observatory.

Sakura Lockhart emerged from the cab that pulled in front of a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired home. She admired the architecture for a moment, nodded, and then picked up her bags and let herself in. She walked down the hallway of the house, her heels clicking on the rock-paved floor. She found the little room in the back, a double bed already placed there, but nothing else. She plopped her suitcases down and flopped onto the bed and heaved a deep sigh. Sakura couldn't believe that she was out of college, not to mention couldn't believe that she made a 4.0 in Art. She yearned to get started on the job search but she felt like lounging in her pajamas instead...and she drifted off to sleep...

    "Sakura, honey! Dinner's ready!"

"Huh...wha...oh!" She got dressed in her...uh...dress...and then walked to the living room/dining room/kitchen. Her whole family seemed to be eating there, from her grandparents to her aunt and uncle to her parents. "How surreal," she thought, and she sat down and ate a plate of pork chops her Grandma Paine had made.

"So how was the trip here, sweetheart?" asked Sakura's mother, Yuffie. She was dressed in her business attire, and looked weary.

    "Oh, just fine Mom."

"That's good, Sport," replied Sakura's father, Wakka. Sakura looked at the faces at the large dinner table. Her grandmother, Paine, was one of the few surviving Mad Scientists of the town. Her hair was a short white and her eyes were a charming shade of red, brighter and more friendly than that of Sakura's fiance, Count Pong Ebadi. The elderly woman seemed to retain some of the gothic qualities that she maintained when she was younger, but seemed more open and laid back. Probably because of Grandpa Goopy. Paine reigned him in, and he only has sexual relations with her and her alone. Now he's trying to become a Chief of Staff, though he still had sex on the brain. Then Sakura looked at her Aunt Lulu and Uncle Starboy. Lulu was an Exorcist, and looked like a friendly witch with the fly-away hair and the red eyes and black lipstick. Her husband, Starboy was...a Criminal Mastermind Alien Biker...guy...That pretty much described him. He and his brother, Boba Fett Curious, ran a prestigious crime syndicate that pretty much rivaled the Lockhart-Zanadu Enterprises that Yuffie ran with her cousin-in-laws Sora and Kairi Lockhart. Ah Business Tycoons... Wakka Lockhart was a police officer, but not a devoted one. He thought about writing and painting more than trying to maintain his job. He felt like quitting. Even though he had a suave look to him, his red hair and red eyes were a bit off-setting. Sakura smiled and kept on eating, thinking that this would be a great time to have Pong meet her family. After dinner she rose and headed to the phone and asked Pong for a date.

After a few...sessions...in the family sedan, Sakura asked Pong to move in. He excitedly accepted and proceeded to bring his few possesions over, including a coffin to put in Sakura's bedroom. Even though there were a few curious looks from her family, they did not seem to mind the arrangement one bit. Pong was very much a gentleman, and could do repairs around the house and clean at night. A very good arrangement indeed.

A few days later, at the dead of night, when Paine came home from work, Sakura and Pong were married under the giant willow tree. Sakura found a job as a waitress, and Pong slept in the coffin during the day and played chess and cleaned at night. No one seemed to mind at all.

Sakura tried her best to get a promotion at the restaurant. She couldn't believe that she was working in one of her great-aunt Rikku's restaurant chains. She also couldn't believe how much hard work it was working in the kitchen. She spent her evenings studying from old cookbooks her grandmother had collected. She even studied with Paine sitting right beside her, studying mechanics.

Sakura did not spend as much time as she should've with her new husband. It was hard to work in the day and then be so tired in the evening that she was asleep by the time Pong emerged from his coffin at 7pm. She tried to stay up as late as she could to spend time with him. Sometimes she wondered if her thoughts and dreams of converting Pong back to a human would ever bear fruit. She was already battling three people who wanted to be vampirized---her own grandma, aunt and uncle! She sighed at the thought of all this as she continued to study...

"How about you take a break from that, honey? Come have some pork chops..."
    "Oh Granny, I gotta study..."
"You have plenty of time to get that promotion. Look at your Aunt Lulu: she spent her entire adult life trying to get up to the top in her paranormal career. And she's still working on it."
"It didn't take that long for Uncle Starboy to become a Criminal Mastermind."
"No, but he's an alien, a very determined and smart alien. That Pascal certainly raised him to be the spittin' image of him...sorta..."
    "Yeah..."
    "Anyway, food?"
    "Sure."

Sakura went to dinner, sitting next in between her grandmother and her husband. She noticed Paine eyeing Pong curiously, and she rolled her eyes and kept on eating. She saw a blue van pull up and noticed that her aunt was all smiles, jumping out of the van and running to the door like an excited schoolgirl.

"I GOT PROMOTED! I'M A CULT LEADER!" she screamed. Everyone crowded around her and congratulated her. Starboy was kissing her, Paine and Goopy were fawning over her, Yuffie and Wakka seemed quite pleased. During the excitement, Pong couldn't contain himself and sneaked a kiss on Sakura...then...

"DON'T YOU DARE BITE MY DAUGHTER AGAIN!"

    "I didn't mean to, sir...it..."
"Slipped? Yeah, sure. It's bad enough that my Sakura married a...a..."
"Freak? Yeah I get that all the time..."
    "Well...you...you..."
"Look, I'll get some Vamprocillin, and things will be ok. I don't want your daughter a vampire either. She's already told me that she didn't."
"Then why the hell did you bite her!?"
    "It slipped, sir!"
"Then you need to control it while you're in this house! I won't have it!"

Everyone watched in horror, except for Sakura, who was hiding in the bathroom crying. The three who wanted to be vampires felt guilty for wanting that, but then it faded. Yuffie was shaking her head and attempted to pull her husband away from her son-in-law. Pong shook his head and called the Matchmaker over.

Sakura bought five bottles of Vamprocillin from the gypsy and rushed back into the bathroom. She drank one of the bottles and was her cheery self again. When no one was around except for the gypsy, Pong also bought a bottle of Vamprocillin for himself...if he was not going to win her family over by being himself, maybe it was worth a shot to be human to win their approval...he could tell that Sakura wanted a human husband...yet...how could he be a count if he was..."I'll keep it just in case..." he thought. He saw the sun rise in the horizon and he retreated to the back bedroom to sleep in his coffin once more.

Picture #1 (Paine and Goopy kissing) is hysterical. I think it's the mechanical arm. :p

P.S. Pong freaky? In that family? It's very funny.

Yeah I thought that'd make a great pic. It was a random event. :D

    ______

Martin Ruben was searching for a lab job on his wife's computer. The little room was empty except for a country desk and a high end computer and blue lamp. He could not find a job...it was frustrating...and he worried about Jane...ever since she had that relapse...

"I made some grilled cheese sandwiches, is that ok?"

"Yes dear, I'll be there in a moment." He sighed and left the computer empty handed. He joined his wife in the small yet quaint kitchen, with its rustic table and chairs and its old wallpaper. He could see the driveway from the windows and could see the rust trap of a car that they managed to purchase.

    "So how was the search?"

"I couldn't find the lab job..."

    "Aww, that's too bad..."

"Yeah, you'd think with a college degree, they'd be clamoring to get more people to work at the lab facilities."

"Yeah..." She sighed and looked away, her eyes blank.

    "Oh...sorry, honey..."

    "It's ok...you'd think I'd remember..."

"Yeah...at least you remembered me..." Martin smiled and reached for her hand, which she let him have. She smiled gently and her eyes warmed up again.

"Say, why don't we go relax in the bedroom for a moment, eh?"

Jane giggled and nodded, and the two newlyweds left the table to do some...relaxing...until the doorbell rang.

"Hello! We thought we might say hello to our new neighbors!"

"Oh, why hello Mrs. Lockhart! I've heard so much about your work, come in, come in!" Paine was a nosy old woman at heart, she had seen the new couple move in the other day. In order to make sure Paine stayed in line, Lulu and Starboy came along for the welcome wagon ride. "Hi, I'm Lulu Curious, this is my husband, Starboy." "Nice to meet you, come in, we still have some grilled cheese left over..."

"*sigh* Here goes nothing..." The exotic woman in the black dress walked up the stairs of the fancy townhouse. Stark white, it was...modern...hopefully the job will be normal...a nanny job...should be easy...She rang the doorbell and waited.

A man wearing a doctor's coat and khakis opened the door. He had long, raggled hair and muddy brown eyes. He reminded her of a hippy...but no matter...He smiled and said "Ah, Miss Upsnott, how nice of you to answer our advertisement. Come in, I'll show you around." He had a calm demenor to him. Brittney followed him in. Cream walls and neutral floors. Modern furniture, expensive electronics. The man had good taste. Wonder who the Mrs. was...She sat in his dining room, a table with six chairs. He brought in some expresso. "My wife should be home soon," he said. "You'll be needing this..."

Brittney looked out the window and noticed that a car was pulling up. She realized that the alien with big red eyes and red braids was Mrs. Barker. Her eyes widened in surprise and shock, but she shook it off without Mr. Barker noticing. The wife ran up the stairs and burst through the door and into the dining room, leaping into her husband's arms. "I got the job! Cloud, I got the General Practitioner job!" "That's great, honey!" They smooched, and Brittney left them be in their own little world. They loved each other, that's for sure. She sipped on the rest of her strong coffee and waited. "Ah, this must be the nanny. Hi, I'm Andromeda Barker." She shook hands with the alien. "Nice to meet you, ma'am."

"Here, I'll show you where the twins are." Twins? "What have I gotten myself in to..." Brittney thought. She followed Andromeda downstairs. The room was scattered with instruments. She could tell that there was some recent renovation. A bathroom and a nursery was added. Andromeda slowly opened the door to the nursery, whispering, "Aww, the little ones are sleeping." She ushered Brittney in. Toys and bottles were all over the floor. A bookcase and lounge chair was on one wall, a bed and nightstand on the other. Two cribs lined the farthest wall. Brittney walked up to the cribs slowly..."This one is Haley...she looks just like me, doesn't she?" Andromeda whispered. Haley did look just like her mother---big red eyes, green skin. However, she seemed to have cheeks that did not suit her thin face. "And this one is Astro...he has his daddy's eyes..." The little boy had sunken cheeks, but had small, murkey brown eyes and dark hair. Suddenly both todders woke up and started screaming. "What have I gotten myself in to..."

For the next few days, Brittney helped the young couple potty train, teach walking and teach talking. She fed them, bathed them, put them to bed, repeated. They were smart children, and seemed quite interested in their educational toys. They were easy to care for with a bit of help. The icing on the cake was the fact that she was getting paid handsomely. "Ah doctors..." she thought.

One day, on the day of the twins' birthday, Brittney took it upon herself to call for a blind date. In came Juan, a dark skinned fellow with the affinity for cash. She planned this so that she can have some social time while the parents were at work and the kids were sleeping...but that didn't work out too well...but it did not matter. Andromeda and Cloud brought home cakes for the private party. The kids grew up well, and the parents gave Brittney her check. She packed up her things and left with a sigh of relief. However...

"Bye Aunt Brittney!" the kids called after her as she rode away in the taxi. She sighed and waved out the window.

"I can't believe my little brother is going to live with us, Amin! Amazing..."

"Yeah...so's this decor..." The couple was finishing wallpapering her brother's bedroom. Black striped walls, gray refurbished floors. Small windows. "Well, that's what he said for us to decorate his room in."

"Your brother must be one crazy guy," Amin Sims shook his head and kissed Leia's cheek. The surgery on her face made her look so much better. But he kinda missed the old Leia...but no matter. She seemed quite happy with the results. It made him wonder what her brother looked like...

"They should be coming any minute, that was them calling."
    "They?"
"Oh, Luke's bringing his girlfriend too. I hope they brought enough furniture..."
    "They should," he reassured her.
"Yeah...ah there they are!" A honk from outside summoned Leia to the driveway. A moving van was bringing out a couple of coffins, an old bookcase, a chess table, and a lumpy old sofa. Leia cringed but smiled through the disgust. Amin shrugged and went outside to meet his wife's brother. Out from the taxi emerged two bats that flew out of the car and into the house.

    "What the---"
"Oh my god!" Leia ran inside following them. Amin followed her up the stairs and into the brother's room.

    "Luke?"
    "Leia?"
The two siblings stared at each other. The movers plopped the furniture in. Amin looked at Leia, then at Luke, then at the supposed girlfriend.
"Don't tell me you---" the siblings said at the same time.
"Well what a family reunion," said the girlfriend. It was Allegra Gorey.
    "You're a vampire?"
    "Yeah. You got plastic surgery?"
    "Yeah...why didn't you say you..."
"Because I didn't want to shock you...why didn't you say you..."
"Because I didn't want to shock you either." They laughed and hugged. Then the four moved the furniture into place. The two vampires settled down into their coffins. Amin and Leia looked at each other and laughed. Then they heard honking outside. "Ack, gotta go for work dear *kiss* Love you!" they said at the same time, then rushed out to meet the carpool.

And then life settled down. Luke and Allegra were married in Leia's small back yard. Allegra made the mistake of inviting Heather Huffington to the wedding party consisting of her former beaus, Martin Ruben and Castor Nova. Jane Ruben behaved herself even though she was a bit...off...Then come to find out, Allegra was pregnant with Luke's child, which was why the wedding came so suddenly. Leia was a bit saddened since she wanted her own child, but agreed to help buy a crib and changing table for the new arrival...which turned out to be a boy that the vampires named Yangus.

    "Yangus?"
"I dunno, I kinda like the name. It was either that or Spike or Obi Wan."

    And so life went on...

Ack, I haven't played the Sims in a while...I only have a little bit of a story to add to the collection. :( But here goes nothing...

Brittney pulled up in front of the rickety old mansion at the top of the hill. She sighed and pulled into the garage, then got out and dragged her bags across the lawn and up the porch steps. Joshua ran out, briefcase in one hand and coffee in another, and rushed to his carpool. Brittney shook her head and walked into the house. She could hear giggling on the top floor, and someone was playing the guitar in the foyer. It was Keith Beare, clad in a business suit with a campaign button on the front pocket, jamming.

    "Where's Heather?"

"Oh, she's upstairs using the bubble blower with Ashley...I ought to go check on her, eh?"

"Yeah..." Brittney shook her head again and dragged her suitcases up the three flights of stairs to a spare bedroom, following Keith to find his wife and his bestfriend giggling like schoolchildren. He rolled his eyes, laughed, shrugged and joined them.

Brittney then searched for a job. She found a cushy job of being a recruit in the national guard. She smiled and sighed with relief. She then heard a car pull up and she looked out the window. Two alien women were unloading their luggage out of the trunk of the taxi. "What on Earth..." she thought. Then she saw Ashley smothering the red haired alien in a lip-locked make out. "Ah..." she sighed and shook her head once more, then went back down the three flights of stairs to get something to eat.

Later that evening, it was the strangest sight Brittney had ever seen. She saw two vampires, Castor Nova and Tiffany Sampson, get married, and then she saw Ashley Pitts tie the knot with the alien woman whose name was Chloe. Her sister was named Lola, and they were somehow related to the Curious brothers...and they were all gone...funny how things worked.

Joshua could not handle the crowded and crazy life at the old mansion and promptly moved out as soon as he received his promotion. He moved in with the guy he saved from the Grim Reaper in college, or whatever nonsense he was babbling about. Keith and Heather were house searching and found a quaint house in the suburbs. They asked Brittney if she could be their...

    "Nanny!?"
    "Yes...I'm..."
"Expecting!" Keith was joyous and dancing for joy, packing his bags to get the heck out of the madhouse.
"So you're going to be a mother after messing around with three guys in college?" drawled Brittney.
"Either way I get the woohoo, Britt," retorted Heather.
"Whatever floats your boat I suppose."
    "You're dating that...whoever that was..."
"You know, I don't know his name either, but he's related to the CEO of Lockhart-Zanadu."
"Ah yeah...Amin...nice guy...isn't he married to the freakish looking girl that was in our sorority?"
"She had plastic surgery, good for her."
    "Right...anyway...you want the job?"

"As long as it pays well and as long as I can still have my military job."

"Deal. I hope you didn't unpack your bags."

    "You know me, Heather..."
