Yet Another Story Thread I'll take a crack at it. Sakura Lockhart climbed out of the cramped taxi cab and gazed upon the new home she would be spending her four years in at Sim State University. She proceeded to unload her luggage from the back of the taxi while her cousins Narcissus and Hyacinth emerged from the sedan as well. "It's odd that you would pick a townhouse that looks exactly like the one we lived in as kids, Narc," commented Sakura. "I thought we needed a home a way from home, so to speak," he replied. "Besides, it's not exactly like the one in Downtown. I painted the living room red..." "Red!?" As the two cousins argued at the choice of paint color, Hyacinth spotted another car approaching the house. It pulled into the driveway and honked. Two people emerged, one being an odd looking young adult and the other being a townie whom Hyacinth had had a first date with. "Tosha? You're living here too?" asked Hyacinth. The girl nodded and proceeded to take her luggage up to her room. Luke Curious approached Hyacinth and asked him if he wanted to hang out. Seeing that Sakura and Narc had settled their dispute and were lounging in the comfort of the small front yard, the two guys joined them and discussed various topics for a few hours. Narc and Luke had been living with a few other college mates in a smaller house. When Narc heard that his younger brother and cousin were going to college, he immediately rented the house so they could all live together. However, when Narc had the chance, he went downtown to party and left Hyacinth and Sakura alone with the other people whom they only had a bit of an aquaintence with. "Argh...why did Narc have to have such a pleasure streak?" grumbled Hyacinth as he was heating himself up a bowl of ramen noodles in the microwave. "Beats me. Hmm, we need more curtains in the kitchen," said Sakura. She had already finished eating and registering for her major. She was hoping to be a Criminal Mastermind like her uncle was. "Did you register for your major yet?" "No---OMG AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Hyacinth had caught the microwave on fire and was panicking. Tosha rushed in, wondering what the alarm was going off for. She started to panic as well. "Oi..." Sakura used the fire extinguisher on the flames until the fire apartment showed up. When the flames were eliminated and the scorched ramen noodles were taken out of the unharmed microwave, Sakura commented "I hope you're not going to culinary school anytime soon." "No, Literature major," answered Hyacinth. "Ah, I signed up for Biology. I heard that there was a need for natural scientists in Nirvanaville," said Tosha. "I bet Narc's going to be a Professional Party Guest when he grows up *snickers*" kidded Sakura.
how do you burn ramen noodles in the microwave! ROFL ...keep that one away from the kitchen or they will be getting a visit from Grimmie
Sims are very "talented," especially when they're in college. So easily distracted by all the cute boys/girls walking by ... One thing I like about NL is that most sims are interested in a little snugglebunnies once in a while. Very few of them show no interest at all in it. In the old game it was mostly romance and family sims who cared about that kind of thing. Now everyone's hottie crazy.
LOL Yeah, just like real life. We all have our different interests, but every once in a while, we'll get distracted by a hottie.
You should see Zaire and Castor, my long-married Knowledge sims. They act like teenagers around each other. All they do at parties is make out, unless someone interacts with them. Hey, at least it boosts the party rating.
I didn't realize Hyacinth had no cooking points at that point... "Honey, I know you like to be social, and I do like a good party every once in a while, but we all have to be at work sometime today...I can't afford to be late at the Lulu Lounge again." "Don't be silly, it'll be great! All my family will be here, and we'll get all the things over with...the toast...the ceremony...the cake..." "I don't know, Selphie..." Too late. Selphie Barker was dialing the phone feverishly to invite all of her numerous siblings and relatives to the spur of the moment wedding party. Andrew Montif shook his head and went over to the chess table. Selphie's twin, Leon, and his fiance, Andrea Mazza, walked down the stairs in their underwear and noticed Selphie humming to herself happily and putting the phone back on the hook. They looked at each other and chuckled, then went into the kitchen. Everyone came. Selphie's parents, Lora Yuna and Garrett; Selphie's brother Cloud and his alien wife Andromeda; Selphie's sister Garnet and her husband Sora Lockart; and Winry and Meryl came over from college as well. They crowded into the little townhouse and helped Selphie celebrate her rushed marriage. Leon (a smuggler) and Andrea (a police officer) left for work before the ceremony, and right as the limo pulled up to take the happy couple off to their honeymoon, Andrew's ride for his job as a Disc Jockey pulled up. "Sorry, I'm married!" he yelled out the window. "I'm thinking about switching jobs anyway," he whispered to his new wife. The next day, Leon and Andrea were married in a private ceremony...meaning no giant party, and Selphie wasn't even there...Andrew was searching for a new job at the moment and finally settled on becoming a Psychic Phone-A-Friend. Meanwhile... "Do we know you?" "We just moved here, and we couldn't afford to rent a house on our own." "Besides, Mr. Party Man here didn't want to stay in a dorm...and speaking of which, what on Earth did you do to your hair!?!" "Business in the front, party in the back!" "Ugh a mullet and a disco suit? Are you crazy, Drake?" "I don't know which is more insane, his hair or your cowgirl hat, Feye." "You two make me tired..." yawned Mary Kate Barker. She also rushed to do something, and that was to go to college. She and her adopted brother and cousin did not want to stay at home anymore. Once they all got an academic scholarship, they moved out. Unfortunately, this meant that they were limited to where they could live. They could not live with Meryl and Winry at the moment because they were already living in a cramped house with three other people. Drake wanted to buy a car, but the dormatory regulations specifically said "heck no!" So there they were, standing in front of the house occupied by Allegra Gorey, Martin Rubin, and Jane Stacks.
Whew. I'm gonna need pictures, or a scorecard. A smuggler married to a cop, huh. Wonder what their pillow talk is like.
Yeah sometimes I have trouble keeping up with all these people. Maybe that's why I downloaded a database to keep them in. And that's the second family that's consisted of a police officer and a criminal being married to each other. Like mother, like son I suppose. Here's a wedding picture to begin with. The woman wearing the chef's outfit is the bride, Selphie, and the guy in his underwear is the bride's brother Leon.
To keep things separate, I'm doing a double post. My apologies. Drake pulled into the driveway after a disappointing excursion to Downtown. He noticed that the Bright people were heading off to their final exams. He shrugged and went inside the house to find his cousin and sister typing along on their term papers. Drake again shrugged and thought to himself "Nerds..." He plopped himself down in front of the TV until he heard a commotion outside. He went to see what was up... One of the Bright people, Jane, was sitting on the ground...cradling a bag of flour... "What happened to her?" Drake inquired. "She had a nervous breakdown when she failed her final. Now she's on Academic Probation," simply replied Allegra. She went inside to finish up an assignment she had. Martin was looking helplessly at Jane, then he too went inside. He wondered how he would ever find the time and the courage to tell Jane how he felt about her. Drake helped the poor girl in and a therapist fell from the sky. The psychologist assisted in making Jane feel better, telling her not to worry about her D for the term and that she needed to focus on finding someone to snuggle with. "It looks like a job for a Matchmaker," said Drake...he called for the services of a Mrs. Wang, who appeared and rang the doorbell. The doctor disappeared as oddly as he came in. Jane greeted the old woman and asked for a blind date. She paid Mrs. Wang as much as she could, and the woman gave Jane...Luke Curious. So Luke and Jane went on a date. They went to Londoste, a ritzy restaurant downtown. Jane was attracted to Luke, but there was something missing in the odd-looking fellow. She thought of Martin, and little hearts floated around his image in her mind. She said goodbye to Luke and went straight home. Later... "How the work coming?" asked Martin. "Going slowly, but at least I studied and finished my term paper," replied Jane. She was currently working on an assignment. Allegra was cooking spaghetti for dinner for the third time in a row. "That's good," Martin said. He sighed, then started working on his assignment. Suddenly the two heard the fire alarm go off. "Allegra, how the heck can you burn SPAGHETTI!?!" yelled Drake, who ran into the kitchen. Allegra was panicking the whole time until the fireman came in and put the flames out. Now four young adults needed the shower, but there was only one shower and Feye was using it. She came downstairs and the they all rushed up at the same time to use the shower first. "Dang, the gym teacher got you all too?" asked Feye. She rolled her eyes and proceeded to call her friend Beel. The next day, the Barkers went off to their first final exams. Drake scraped by with a B+, and the two nerdy girls received A+'s each and made it on the Dean's List. Feye celebrates by inviting Beel over...again... Jane was watching for Martin to finish his assignment...she was bursting with anticipation...finally he finished and got up from the kitchen chair... "Martin...there is something I needed to tell you..." The two young people talked...let out their feelings...flirted and admired each other...giggled excessently...you could tell that there were big red hearts in their eyes...Jane felt immensly better, and so did Martin...when Feye was escorting Beel into the kitchen, she caught Martin proposing to Jane right on the spot! "Aww that's so sweet, you two! Congrats!" They blushed and smiled, and left the room. Feye and Beel did what any best friends would do...they ate dinner, then went to the living room to dance and hang out...Feye was attracted to Beel, and she had known him since they were kids. He had the bluest eyes, and an exotic look to him. She didn't know why she liked this guy so much. Maybe because they shared the same interest in knowledge. Never the less, she felt all warm and fuzzy whenever he was in the room. Finally, after what seemed ages of waiting, Feye finally got her first kiss that she missed when she was a teenager. It seemed so random...out of the blue, she had that urge to kiss Beel. And he let her kiss him. How odd, she thought, yet it felt so right to do. In her glee, she went to tell her Mary Kate and Drake about this...but MK was in class and for some reason Drake was conversing with people in togas. "Who're these people?" she asked. "They're the guys at the fraternity down the street. I'm joining a Greek House! Now these guys know how to party!" "A Greek House!? That means if you join...you'll move away..." "Yeah baby, I'm in!" "Drake, no!" "The cab's already here, I'll catch up with you and MK later. Peace!" "..."
For some reason all these kids seem to know how to make are toaster pastries, cereal, lunch meat sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, mac and cheese, and spaghetti. Maybe a session with Mr. Cookbook will do these kids well.
Yup. Mr. Cookbook will lead the way to Chef Salad. I always worry about my pregnant sims and fires. I think Chef salad may be the next recipe they learn after spaghetti. It's pretty early on the list, anyway. And it's quick to prepare, too, so long as they have the food chopper thingy, because they don't have to cook the salad. I also believe they can have it for either lunch or dinner.
The Lockhart brothers were fanning out the smoke from the kitchen...again...It seemed to be a trend that happened almost nightly, despite Hyacinth studying the campus cookbook some so that he wouldn't burn things again. Then they noticed Sakura walking down the stairs to the car parked in the driveway. She got in and drove away towards Downtown. "What's up with her?" "Beats me..." "*thwap!* Hahaha!" "Hey!" *pillowfight commences* Sakura was lonely in the big rental property, despite being surrounded by family. She had always wanted to see the downtown area and find out what all the fuss was about. She got fed up with the constant smokey smell that resulted from all the fires and broken appliances. She pulled up in front of a joint called Rodney's Hideout. Sakura could hear the sound of a jukebox playing and people playing cards and eating. She found this intriguing, and she parked her car. "Heh, you were in a hurry, weren't you?" asked someone behind her. She turned around and faced a gentleman wearing a suit and bowtie and cloak, and he had a dark grey complexion. She couldn't tell if it was the darkness of the night deceiving her or if she was dreaming, but this fellow happened to have red eyes as well. Then she looked down and realized that she had left the house in her nightgown. She blushed and replied "Yeah, I guess so," then chuckled. The man laughed as well, then introduced himself as Pong. "Odd name, considering you don't look too foreign." Sakura was part Japanese, and one could tell that in the shape and color of her eyes. However, she had short brown hair, a trait from her father's side. "Bleh, one gets used to it." He then covered his face with his arm. The two talked in front of the hideout for a really long time, getting to know each other better. Then they went inside and had a bite to eat. Pong didn't seem to eat much, and was looking out the window constantly. Before they knew it, the sun rose in the horizon, and Pong hissed and ran out. Sakura made an odd face, shrugged, then went to her car to drive home. A few days later, Sakura invited Pong over to the rental property. No one seemed to realize that Pong was really a vampire, and thought of him to be a curiousity because of his...quirks...The two went on a date, and while Sakura was studying for her finals, Pong dropped by a chess set for her. "Odd guy, that Pong," commented Luke. He was calling the Greek House down the street to see if they had any openings. Suddenly a bunch of guys wearing togas were at the doorstep, including Drake the Mullet Guy. Needless to say, Luke easily made it in, and moved away. Narc then wanted to join the Greek House and made it in as well. Now the house seemed more empty with Narc and Luke gone. Sakura was alone in a house with lovebirds. Hyacinth finally got the courage to flirt around with Tosha, and they fell in love, which seemed to make him the happiest man alive at the moment. "Should I propose to her, Sakura?" he asked. Hyacinth and Sakura were really close since they grew up together in a crowded townhouse with Hyac's grandparents, Hyac's parents, and Sakura's parents. "I really love her, she is a wonderful person...she even wants to get married and have a family just like I do...but I'm so terribly shy, Sakura...I can't even dance without getting nervous..." "You'll do fine, Hyac," she reassured him. She smiled and patted his back. Sakura was getting ready for another date with Pong, and she seemed giddy about the prospect. Hyac smiled and sighed, then left the room for the kitchen to see if he could cook something. "Make sure Pong doesn't burn anything like that one time, cousin," he joked. "I'll keep that in mind," she laughed.
"So how are things going since you moved from the fire apartment, Hyac?" "Oh things are going well. Tosha and I are engaged. I proposed to her right on the sidewalk." "Oh wow, congrats cuz!" "Thanks, Sakura. I wouldn't have done it without you. So how are things going in the Tri Var house?" "Oh, pretty well...you're not going to like what's happened here, though." "Uh oh, what happened?" "Pretty odd stuff, here..." Sakura related to her cousin all of the events that happened since she moved to the Tri Var Greek House down the street. There were five other girls there. Brittany Upsnott, Heather Huffington, and Tiffany Sampson had been there since Sakura's mother, Yuffie, attended college. The two other girls were Meryl Smith and Winry Barker, cousins that used to live in the house that Hyacinth and Tosha were living in now. Tiffany seemed to control things in the house, and was very intelligent. She was a bit of a nerd, which was ok. She seemed very interested in the skin condition of Sakura's beau, Pong. Brittany was a drama queen and a popularity seeker, but did not seem as interested in the Frat males that went in and out of the house as Heather was. Heather was a flirter, but settled down when one of her suitors, Kevin Beare, proposed to her one day. Now she was engaged and tied down, and no longer could sleep with whomever she chose, which seemed to suit her fine. She did seem disgusted at the fact Sakura was dating Pong, but Sakura did not care at all what Heather thought. Meryl was a popularity seeker as well, and seemed to not be interested in any of the guys either, even when she was living in the house down the street that had nothing but boys. Winry was interested in getting her degree in Political Science, settling down and having a family, but she had not met Mr. Right yet; except for Mr. Party Man, Narcissus. He was a possiblity. So Sakura settled down in the chaos of the Greek House. The girls ran around everywhere, wearing togas. They sometimes brought home pizza from the campus. The frat boys across the street would come over and hang out, as well as the cheerleaders and mascots, the latter being the most annoying of guests. She tried her best to keep up with her studies (she had since switched her interests from being obsessed with material possessions to being obsessed with her well-being and "fun time", and she had switched from a literature to art major to reflect this). But she couldn't help but think about going on dates with Pong. He was a gentleman and a thrillseeker, and was a bit of a curiousity. He seemed to be quite perfect for her. She put down her research and went to the phone and called him up. "So what happened on that date?" "It was the usual. I cracked jokes and flirted with him, and he wanted to dance in the living room. So I took him there...then...it felt like I was in a trance...I was drawn closer, like he was going to make out with me...but instead he kissed my neck...I could feel sharp pricks go thru the skin...I felt so cold, Hyac...it was a bit scary...next thing I knew my skin was purple, my eyes were red, and my eye teeth were long and pointy. And I couldn't see my reflection or stand the sun at all. I didn't mind it at first, but due to my sunshiny personality I did not want to be a vampire anymore." "VAMPIRE!?!" "Yeah, Pong's actually Count Pong Ebadi, the local vampire." Sakura spent a couple of days trying to attend classes and sleep the day away in a purple velvet-lined coffin. The girls converted the living room into a vampire sanctuary. Heather was disgusted, Tiffany was curious, and the rest didn't care. Sakura even changed her appearance briefly to reflect her vampirism. But despite all this, she was not happy as a vampire and wanted to change back. She obtained a bottle of Vamp-procillin and kept it with her until she could use it without maddening Pong. "Um...Sakura? Could we talk?" "Sure, what's up?" "I...couldn't help but noticing..." "Yeah, yeah...don't rub it in..." "I wanted to help you out. I can tell you don't like the way you are right now. But I think I have the solution to your problem. See Tiffany over there?" Winry Barker was a sweet thing and wanted to help as best as she could. She pointed over at Tiffany Sampson getting a drink at the juice barrel on the front stoop. "What are you getting at?" "She wants to know what it's like to be a vampire. I've already asked her. But the only vampire we have on hand is you. And I can see a solution here. You have a bottle of Vamp-procillin. Bite Tiffany, then drink the potion. Problem solved. And Pong won't know the diff because there's still a vampire here." "Hmm...you know, that's not such a bad idea, Winry. Thanks!" So at the crack of dawn, Sakura walked over to Tiffany and put the curious girl in a trance. She sunk her teeth into Tiffany's neck and beckoned her to join her in her dorm room. She then put Tiffany to bed before she burned to death from the light. Sakura then whipped the potion out and gulped it down. She could feel the warmth return to her veins and the purple of her skin returned to her Asian complexion. She looked in the mirror and saw her reflection. She smiled and removed the black lipstick and changed her hair back to what it was before. "Yet you're still dating Pong..." "I haven't seen him in a while, Hyac. Don't worry. Maybe there's a way I can change him from a vamp?" "Maybe...I'm a bit worried. Will Tiffany bite anyone else?" "She has a craving but no one here wants to get bitten. Especially not Heather. She's got a Vamp-procillin in her purse at all times and wants to change Tiffany back. Tiffany refuses. She actually likes being one, she's even gone gothic." The two cousins laughed and said goodbye on the phone. Hyac did not want to be bitten either. He had a future ahead of him that consisted of getting married to Tosha and having children. He did not want ill things to happen to his relatives. He sighed and walked away from the phone...he could hear Mary Kate Barker call the Tri Var Greek House to see if they had any room...he shook his head and proceeded to the kitchen to eat some grilled cheese sandwiches.
I'll try to introduce pictures to define who all these people are. I have too many! I'm attached to them all, though...and apparently there are cat fights about to happen at the Tri Var sorority. No wayno way! Yeah way, I saw her leaving the house with him. I swear to God she was--- Shh! Hey guys, whats up? Oh nothing Meryl Smith (pic 1) entered the room to find a gaggle of girls giggling and gossiping about random topics, including her successful date with Edward Elric (pic 4, hehe...) down the streetshe shrugged and walked on to the kitchen to grab a piece of pizza before class. God, what does she see in him? He's a brainiac with a metallic arm, and shes the most popular girl on campus! There are other guys besides him I thought she thought he was crazy, I saw her making the crazy sign when she saw him dancing, replied Winry (pic 2). She then ceased speaking when she saw Brittany walk in the room. Winry lowered her head and glared at the exotic looking beauty with the cold, stony eyes. Brittany glared back at her and went Humph! and proceeded to the kitchen as well. Winry, what happened with you and her? asked Sakura. Shes ticked off at me for influencing you to bite Tiffany. Now she and Heather want to change her back, but Tiff doesnt want to change. She seems quite happy with it. Unfortunately she almost kills herself every time she tries to go to class. Ah yeah Not to mention we had to build Tiff a shed closer to the sidewalk! My goodness they got so mad at that! They proclaimed it to be hideous and tacky! Meryl snickered as she emerged from the kitchen with a slice of pizza in her hand. The whole dining room burst out laughing until Brittany and Heather walked out and glared at them all. I did not realize so much drama happened here, whispered Mary Kate (pic 3). She had just joined the Greek House the night before. She did not seem to mind the insanity that occurred here. Welcome to the party, Sakura sighed and rolled her eyes. Sometimes I wish I never joined this place. Same here, theres not that much freedom. Yeah, not to mention theresuh The girls felt a cold gust run through the room. The door opened and in came Tiffany. She stared at them for a moment, then hissed and proceeded to the kitchen to stuff her face from the fridge. Oi vey She starved herself again. Not to mention she smells funny. Its almost like the plague, vampirism. Yeah I dont want to get bitten again >_< shuddered Sakura. Neither do I! proclaimed everyone else. Yet I want Tiff to be happy, sighed Winry. Perhaps we should move out? Make our own place? Kill off Brittany? We could let them get bitten I swear, Brittany wants to feed me to a cow plant and drink me Shes a downright--- Shh! You know I can hear you guys talking! shrieked Brittany How bout you shove it, Brit! Bleh! hissed Tiffany. How about some Vamprocillin, Tiff? Brittany ran into the room and was about ready to pounce. Hiss! Youre a real pain in the neck, you know that? How about I GIVE you a real pain in the neck!? Stop it you two! You stay out of this, you flirted with that cow! What the heck are you talking about!? You cheated on me! I thought you loved me! Loved you!?! How is that possible, I love Narcissus! You let that cow flirt with you! I didnt want that! That cows annoying and flirts with everyone! If I get a cow plant, youre the first Im going to try it out on, and then that cows going to be next! Winry was in the middle, separating a bloodthirsty Tiffany and a royally furious Brittany. The rest of the girls stood helplessly until they swarmed and tackled the three girls to the ground. When all recovered, Tiffany retreated to her shack in the front lawn, Brittany stormed off to her bedroom, and Heather fled crying to her room as well, for no particular reason except the balance of the sorority was disrupted because of the constant bickering, the gossiping, and one of the founding members was a vampire. On the bright side, though, the status of the house was at the highest level in the region. The newcomers stared at each other in disbelief and shock. Can we move out now? softly said Mary Kate.
