Lets see Now we have... NES SNES N64 GC Xbox PS Dreamcast Genesis GBC GBA GBA SP Virtual Boy and I think thats it....
I now FINALLY have console game systems! And through a lucky miracle, we now have not only the gamecube we bought refurbished, we have a used Playstation too... just a month or so later! I have joined the masses!
haha that "I think?" is about how my hubby is feeling when he gets home from work and finds me zoned out playing Final Fantasy 9... still... which is what I was doing 12 hours earlier when he LEFT for work... Good thing I actually clean the house and feed the cats and do OTHER things but it's currently occupying most of my free time!
Oy! Refurbished Fae? No no no no no. It's just a fancy word for used and probably broken. My PS2 is refurbish (hey, what's a teenager with virtually no moolah to do?) and it needs maintainance every month or so. I've opened and closed it so many times I think I could make a PS2 from scratch. *sigh* The couple of dollars you save is NOT worth the hassle. By the way, welcome to the world of gaming, Fae. For initiation for the Amateur Gamer rank, you must play any one game in one sitting for 12 hours straight, without food nor breaks of any kind.
Does playing for 15 hours straight and eating dinner, etc WHILE playing count? ...although I did run for the bathroom on several occasions.... Yeah, I got the refurbished... but I also paid the $10 for the one year warrantee... and they already took the whole gamecube back and replaced it with one that plays games BESIDES Animal Crossing! We had the weird problem of it not playing ANY of the games my hubby borrowed from friends... but it would play Animal Crossing and ONLY Animal Crossing! When we took it in they said the laser was burned out... and so I now have a black gamecube instead of a purple one. ...but I still have a purple controller because the one with the black gamecube turned out to be a generic controller and the buttons etc. were DIFFERENT and I'd just caught on to the regular controller that came with the gamecube!
Are you saying that the black one is refurbished too? As only non-original ones come with third party controllers... My PS2 has that same problem too. It only plays games older or as old as itself. I've concluded that the laser is 1) too weak for the newer DVDs and 2) not calibrated correctly, despite all of my attempts to do it myself. At least it plays most of the games that matter... I could always "borrow" my friend's. You can play Animal Crossing AND you're complaining about it!?
Yes, the black one is refurbished too. One of the reasons we got refurbished was it could come with a warantee and the used ones wouldn't. They had NO new gamecubes in any of the three stores we visted though! I didn't have as much of a problem with the "special Animal Crossing Only Cube" as my hubby did! He wanted to play games OTHER than Animal Crossing, haha!
well theres lots like SSBM(super smash bros. melee) Mario Party 4 & 5 uhhh some other games i dunno which cause i lose track of what games go to which systems now....
ACtually, some of those systems don't make make games anymore. Including... Playstaion, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, and Genesis. All old.
Yep. The second the new systems come out the old ones go obsolete. Well... except for PlayStation, they still make the PS1 games for it, just not as much.
That sucks how the old system goes obsolete right as the new one comes out. There's some games I wish I bought when they were new, but now they don't make it any more. :(
if you hunt them down you can find them. Even though they don't make 'em anymore they don't cost tons to buy still (that is if you still got the system lol)If i ever find the website with our actuall games collection ill put it here. theres like 203 games or something close to that, that we own.
I havent even got a quarter of that many. I would have about twice as much if I counted the Genesis titles that my parents own. I'm only counting ones I've bought and played thru myself.
I'm hoping to find some old Final Fantasy games for the Playstation... now that I've finally gotten to play Final Fantasy 9 I want to find earlier ones if possible!
