All 9 to 5 jobs are not boring. It depends entirely on the individual. I remember once having a job which must have been described as the most boring on earth. All I had to do was to enter a quantity, part number and description on to a form, using a typewriter. I did that all day every day for about 18 months. I produced 1,000 forms a day, which was more than anyone else had ever produced. The most interesting job I ever had is now. I shall win a game, eventually. Being a bit dim it is taking me quite some time.
I'll bet you don't. Most women find the man of their dreams, get married, and have two kids (2.4 is the norm, isn't it?).
im gonna show everyone that im not gonna end up like that! im gonna keep fightin for what i want and if that man comes up to me...ill put him on hold
I would like to see that. We have discussed elsewhere in this forum the need that women have for having babies. If you are the exception then make yourself a career, but the chances are that you are not. If you meet the right man - and you are perfectly certain that he is the right man - then grab him. It isn't like a bus - another one may not be close behind. I was very disappointed that my daughter didn't go on the stage -she loves an audience - but she didn't. She became a teacher and, now, has a qualification for looking after small children. I
I would love to open a toy shop...but the market here is rather saturated and the economy isnt too good
You have first to get your qualifications. Don't go for fame. The chances are that it elude you but leave you with a lasting legacy, which would not be welcome. Decide what you want to do and go for it at all times. It is the most important thing you can do in your life. Getting married comes second.
You also forgot about impression as well. In this world, everything is about impression. So you also gotta make a good impression.
No. I didn't get the job. I did dance at one time - just over 50 years ago (yes). I got a bronze medal in ballroom dancing at that stage but I never followed it up. I also got certificates in Shorthand (100 words per minute) and typing. I can remember the studio, though, very well indeed. I spent most of my youth studying but I didn't follow that up either.
Looking for working is a pain. I left a delivery company that I had worked for 20 years, because they were closing down the Everett base and I would have had to commute to Kent (which is almost to Tacoma (which is miles and miles of traffic jams). But I found a great one driving a bus for ADA and Senior citizens. Have you tried job hunting online? It's amazing whats available out there. I've been at my new job for just over a year and a half and am already making more than I did at the other company.
Also it is full time, but seldom 9 to 5:30. more like 6am to 2pm or 5am to 1pm... Every day is different because you don't have a fixed route so you can end up all over the county. Sometimes the schedulers are overly optimistic but mostly its an interesting job.
I am so stupid it is almost unbelievable. Josh - when you said it is time to get reacquainted I thought you meant the group that posts here. I now (at long long last) know what you mean. I don't think I want to go back to studying. What is the point. You know my age, and I have hopelessly insufficient money to pay for courses, although, I must admit, I could devise them for myself. Thanks, suitemichelle, but I don't want to be a driver of anything at all, really. I am rapidly becoming a lazy, useless and very grumpy old person (I nearly said something a little rude, but I never would). All right - you are right, Josh. But why? I need motivation. When I have that I am very good, when I don't I am useless.
