hehe...I've tried talking to the boy about it...normally I get ignored or his eyes roll back in his head. But he thinks it's cool that I have a hobby vs. going out and drinking all the time! sounds good to me, you'll have to send me a private message with directions, I'm assuming you don't want everyone knowing where you live! Also, I'm pretty open except Tuesday nights. I work till 5 M-F in Woodbury, and weekends are open. Wish I could! It started out as our snow day, just makes sense! But really...sorry everyone else!
I'll email you guys privately. We should wait and see what this storm is doing. I'm busy next Monday, but let's see what's going on later in the week ...
Hey, Duzzy, if you're out there, do you live around here too? I can't remember and your profile doesn't say. Haven't heard from that girl in a while ...
The more the merrier! Hopefully we won't get snowed out! (Not looking forward to shovelling again tomorrow! I've barely recovered from Monday! Stupid old broken down snowblower!!)
Too bad we weren't on this forum 20 years ago when I was going to school in England - I spent a week in Birmingham with a lovely couple who used to make Coke in their kitchen! (The SOFT DRINK - NOT the Illegal Substance!!!) Although, I guess that wouldn't have done Babe much good - as you were "nary a gleam in your father's eye" at that time!
Well heck with it, Rowanstaff? Wanna make a trip down to the cities? hehe, pm us and we'll let you know the date/time/place!
To get this back on track, here are some pictures from the 3/13/06 snowstorm. I'm sure we'll have more tomorrow as we're getting slammed again tonight/tomorrow morning.
Man - It's seems like we're getting an entire Winter's worth of snow in one week! Now, I like snow as much as the next person (except when I have to shovel it), but does it have to come all at once? Another five inches on my driveway this morning - and still coming down!
The only part I don't like is that I drive the world's smallest car (OK, not as small as some cars I saw in Italy, but pretty small ...) When it snows the roads get these huge bumps in them and I worry about my suspension, or that I'm going to scrape something off the bottom! Still, I'd rather drive my little Civic than a behemoth. I think I get better traction! Some of those big hollow cars have a lot of slip and slide to 'em.
