An animal fair?? Wow! What kind(s) of animals will be at the fair?? Is it like a livestock fair, with mainly farm animals, or is it for pets and domestic animals you have in urban places?? What's a monter? I hope you have tons of fun and come back and tell us all about it!!
No not really.. it's more like just showing animals. There ill be some livestock.. mainly horses.. Some ducks, chickens, Rabbits of course from different breeds. The Guinea Pig association. Snakes and lizards.. clubs, like ours... different dog breeds. It's a yearly opportunity for the citypeople to "see the countryside". And it's a great chance for all associatons and clubs to inform people about animals. There are also some "shows".. Next year our club and another will have rabbit hopping competition there. To little time to arrange it for this year. This is the 3rd year we are there. And we're pretty popular so the manager called me and asked what monter wwe want.. hehehe..
Is a "monter" like a booth, or like a parade float?? Mentioning ducks made me think of the strangest ducks I've ever seen, I'm wondering if you've heard of them, they were Australian Ducks and they looked like they had Mohawks because they had a sort of crest of feathers sticking up on the tops of their heads!!
It's a booth, with 3 walls. yeah i've heard about those ducks How cute!! The whole thing is indoors actually. :classic: otherwise it would have been much to cold for the little ones. It's full autumn here - and some parts already got snow.
Oh I will Tim! :classic: But it's a couple of weeks left.. Hehe I'm gonna show 5 of my guines pigs too. Saturday - Swedish judge. I hope my Belladonna takes her needed swedish certificate then. IF she does - she'll be a champion! :classic: Bt the competiton is SO hard!!! Sunday it's english judges. And I entering my 2 lovely chocolates into breeders group as well. They did SO well at the chamionships!! :classic: So all I have to do is trimming them *sighes* They hate it. Keep your fingers crossed nov 2-3rd! I'm already nervous...
I have a stuffed plushie white owl in a little plastic cage, it's about a foot tall, and it hoots when you press its foot. I think it looks a lot like Hedwig, but with my love of puns I named it "Hoo-Dini".... That's a cool idea to make an owl for unleashed though, I wonder if I can change the macaw or cockatoo into an owl.... I have TOO MANY ideas and not enough TIME!!
I'm actually entering 5 animals: Belladonna, Bilbo, Gimli, Valiant and lanor. Gimli, Valiant and lanor is never showned before, so all I hope for is decent critics. Bilbo is always coming after his sister, but those 2 are so look-alike that they are entering the breeders group competition. All but Valiant is named after Tolkien books and caracters there. oh I'm nervous!!! :nervous: Fae? Can I steal the name Hoo-dini for the next time I'm gonna name cavies on the letter H? It's so cool! And Fae... I love your ideas.. whish I could stop time for you...
Sure!! I think it would be cool to start a naming trend of Hoo-Dinis!! haha!! I recognized Bilbo, (of course!) and Gimli as Tolkien names.
Belladonna Took - Bilbos mother (I think it was). lanor is the little yellow flower Aragorn showed Frodo when they were in Lothlrien. :classic:
Have you heard of JRR Tolkien's Fellowship of the Rings trilogy or The Hobbit? We're talking about Nina naming her bunnies after names from those books! They've made the first book in the trilogy into a movie last year, and they're releasing the second movie this year, and the third is supposed to be next year.
